Photo/Videography.
I like to take photo’s while diving, I am not a photographer, I am a diver who takes photographs. I also like to take videos, this is a new aspect to my diving. Whilst the equipment I use is probably at the cheaper end of the market, I get good results with the stills, and OK results with the video. I will continue to take both until I can decide which I prefer, and maybe which one is more financially rewarding.
Since writing the above much has happened. I have had some minor success with my photographs including a single photo followed by a centre page spread in a local newspaper, the Newquay Voice. I have had a front page photo on another local paper, the West Briton. Sport Diver magazine have featured several of my photos when they couldn’t get to a dive site due to conditions, I was credited with them too. I have also sold some video footage to the BBC to be shown at the end of September 2007 on their ‘Inside Out’ program. I haven’t made my fortune yet, just a little recognition.
